TO ALL FRIENDS OF UBC WOMEN’S NETWORK

 Dear Madam,

Please be informed that the first meeting 2004 of the network will be held in the City of Turku, Finland, on 14 August 2004.
The proposals of questions to be discussed at the meeting can be sent to the coordinator by 31 May 2004. The program is still open but one subject will be how to promote equality in local decision-making.
The meeting will be held 14.8.04 in connection to the Nordic Forum 12-13.8.04, web page at
www.abo.fi/fc/equop/
Please inform me of your interest to participate 12-14.8.04 or only 14.8.04 and for how many nights you need the hotel, if you wish to share a room and what standard of hotel you prefer. I have already made some reservations and depending on the standard the prices go from  (single) 35-85 and (double) 42-110. All are situated in the city centre area. Some of the participants from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Poland can be sponsored by the Network if there is a need for that because we would like to have women representing UBC cities from all Baltic countries.
UBC Women’s Network has got an own quota for the Forum - 20 persons - reserved to those who participate in the Network Meeting. For other interested please contact your country-contact person! Visitors from the Lake Victoria district will be attending the meeting together with the former co-ordinator of the Network Hjördis Höglund from Sweden.

Yours sincerely,

Ulla Lundqvist
