Dear Madam/Sir,

the UBC Commission on Urban Planning (CUP) is having its next seminar in Aarhus, Denmark, in April 23rd-26th 2008. The seminar theme this time is "Future City Life". The seminar theme is connected to the current overall theme of the CUP, namely "Sustainable and Attractive Cities" and studying the question of how
to create good living environments. During the seminar there will be
interesting lectures by Danish urban planners and architects, sightseeing around Aarhus - the 2nd biggest city in Denmark right after Copenhagen -, getting to know Aarhus's current urban development projects and naturally workshops about current urban planing problems in Aarhus. Moving the Aarhus harbour to a new
location and planning a new housing area to replace it, is particularly
interesting to hear about.

The seminar hosts have negotiated a special price for the participants in Hotel Cabinn (www.cabinn.com), which is nicely located in the Aarhus centre next to the famous canal and a short walking distance to the seminar location Havnehuset. The hotel prices per 1 night are as follows: 
- An economy-room (single) including breakfast costs 515 DKK = 69 euro
- A Commodore-room (double) including breakfast costs 725 DKK = 97 euro
Participants are kindly requested to make their own hotel bookings according to instructions given in the invitation enclosed.

Also, participants are kindly asked to send a preliminary - not binding - registration to Mrs Heidi Milan Bilenberg (e-mail: hmb@sa.aarhus.dk) (please fill in the enclosed form Separate Participation Form.doc). The amount of seminar participants is limited to one bus - maximum 45 people. Please send in 
your preliminary registration form right away to ensure your participation!

Enclosed is also a reminder-poster of the Aarhus seminar to be printed and put on your wall.
