“European means for cultural cooperation” - the 10th Annual Working
Session, Visby, 4 – 5 of May 2007 Dear members of the Union of the Baltic Cities! It is a great pleasure for me to invite you to the 10th Annual Working Session of the Commission on Culture. This Session is going to be held in Visby on the Swedish island Gotland 4 – 5 May 2007. www.gotland.net The invited participants are active in the cultural fields in all the countries around the Baltic Sea, of which several are new members of the European Union. The invitation is sent out to the Municipal Cultural Departments and other cultural institutions. This network is presented in the Catalogue of Cultural Institutions at www.ubc.net The main aim is to stimulate to new cross-border cultural cooperation and to apply for fundings from the EU and other European cultural organisations. Lectures will inform about these possibilities and how to plan projects, to write and send applications. The Session will also give possibilities for cultural managers to meet colleagues in other countries and to preliminary discuss projects that can be of mutual interest for the local cultural life in the Baltic Sea Region and also in other parts of Europe. The Municipality of Gotland is the host for this Session that is
arranged in cooperation with the UBC Secretariat and the UBC Commission on
Culture. Participants will have to pay their travels, hotel and
registration fees, and send to me their registrations as soon as possible
