The Commission on Sport was established in September 1995 in order to create and promote contacts and relations among young people in the area of sport and physical education as well as to spread information about UBC activities.

The Commission's founding cities are Gdynia and Karlskrona. The Commission is chaired

by Ms Maja Wagner, a Gdynia Councillor.                                 

Ms Camilla Brunsberg, Chairperson of Sport and Recreation Commission of Karlskrona City Council, is UBC Commission on Sport Vice-Chairperson.

The Secretariat of the Commission is located in Gdynia and is run by Coordinator Ms Joanna Leman, Manager of Foreign Relations Department, Mayor's Office, Gdynia City Hall and Ms Agata Lewandowska, Foreign Relations Department Officer, Mayor's Office, Gdynia City Hall.
