European Youth Capital 2021 Call for Applications open

How to make cities more youth friendly and create environment that truly benefits young people?

The European Youth Capital initiative is a title awarded by the European Youth Forum. It is granted to a European city for a period of one year that puts young people at the core of the city’s social, economic, cultural and political life. Since 2014 the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe is an official endorsing partner of the EYC title.

Why apply

The European Youth Capital is a young project it positions the city as a pioneer of this exciting opportunity. The cities selected in the next few years will be working to create a standard of excellence that future European Youth Capitals will look to and learn from.  For years to come these first few municipalities will be seen as the founding fathers of a movement toward a better environment for youth and a more unified community in general.

The application process for the European Youth Capital 2021 competition is already open! Deadline is on 21 January 2018.

European Youth Forum is the platform of youth organisations in Europe representing 104 youth organisations both National Youth Councils and International Non-Governmental Youth Organisations, bringing together millions of young people from all over Europe in order to represent their common interests.
