New Year’s concert
Welcoming the New Year, the VDU Chamber Orchestra invites you to celebrate together!
Owners of impressive voices will meet in the concert, which has already become a tradition, in the VDU Great Hall: Viktorija Miškūnaitė, one of the best soloists of the Lithuanian Opera, and tenor Tomas Pavilionis. Both performers are soloists of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, who have won the golden cross of the stage and many other awards.
The concert will be conducted musically by Vytautas Lukočius, the charismatic conductor of the VDU Chamber Orchestra, and Rita Bieliauskaite, the conductor of the orchestra, will host the event.
The concert will feature the most beautiful arias and duets from popular Viennese operas and operettas, waltzes, polkas, and marches performed by the orchestra. Good mood and the most beautiful music will not last long at a cozy concert. Traditionally, the performers will invite you to accompany the old year and “Raise a glass of pleasure” from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “La Traviata”.
