Operating Documents

The Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC) was founded in Gdańsk, Poland in September 1991, by 32 cities, with the aim of developing cooperation and exchange between its member cities.

Decisions made by the UBC Executive Board between EBM meetings:

The Board decided new temporary UBC Commission on Education has been established.

City of Vilnyansk has been accepted as Associated Member of UBC.

In connection with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia that started on 24 February 2022,  the UBC Executive Board found the cooperation currently impossible. The Board decided to suspend membership of the Russian cities, to terminate the cities’ positions in the UBC organs/bodies, and to change the location of the next UBC General Conference.
