TO THE UBC MEMBER CITIES AND COMMISSIONS
Dear Sir/Madam,
Following the X UBC General Conference in Kristiansand, 24-25 September 2009, attached please find the EC communication on the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region as well as the Action Plan.
Member cities and commissions are encouraged to study carefully the Strategy and the Action Plan, analyse which of the activities and flagship projects should be selected as the UBC`s top priority projects and what can you do for their implementation.
Please send your proposals to the Secretariat latest by 1 December 2009.
The proposals will be discussed by the newly-elected Executive Board at the meeting in January 2010. The goal is to select a limited number (3-5) top priority projects and to ensure their effective implementation by the UBC, its cities and commissions. Your active participation in this process is very important.
