Dear Sir/Madam,
Following Les Rencontres that were held in Tallinn, Estonia last June and in which you (or your organization) were present (or invited to) (and where I was too),
Following my graduation last September, and considering the fact that, as a post-graduate, I have no long-handed network to rely on,
Also specifying that I am now job-hunting for a cultural-related position in the Baltic Sea area,
...could you please take a little bit of your time just to consider this short open application of mine?
Thank you if you can.
Holding a Master degree in cultural projects management, I recently took part in the European Capital of Culture adventure among the Tallinn 2011 Foundation team.
Within the Marketing & Communication Dpt. and with the help of Estonian and Finnish partners, we tried to give a wider visibility to the cross-border projects led by both Tallinn and Turku 2011 foundations this year. I also got to introduce our cultural tourism activities to foreign delegations and media, as well as to communicate about those activities on social networks.
Besides, during the previous winter in Helsinki, I had among other missions helped to set up the “Frankofonia juhli…” (French-speaking communities festival) event with the French Institute, as well as a film retrospective.
Having an import-export professional background, I also happened to work in a logistic and international sales environment. Thus, I regularly used my languages’ skills for organizational and commercial purposes. Needless to say these experiences still help me today.
You might notice (if you take a look at the attached CV) that I (so far) unfortunately have no real command of any of the languages that are natively spoken in your area, only some more or less good command of some of them.
Yet, I do believe to be aware of what the Baltic sea area is made of today, and of all the bounds that were and are being created everyday. And I would love to make my contribution to this process.
Available as soon as now, I am naturally ready (and willing) to relocate.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further details; I am available for interview at any time.
Yours sincerely,
--
