Agenda 21 Centre for the Baltic Sea Region

The Agenda 21 Centre: The Baltic Sea Region is a network and platform for meetings, discussions, exchange of opinions, experiences and know-how in order to achieve a sustainable Baltic Sea area. The centre organizes seminars and shorter courses as well as arranging personal contacts leading to further co-operation amongst countries, municipalities, enterprises.

Who can become a member?

Everybody who lives in the drainage area of the Baltic Sea and who works with Local Agenda 21 or in societal development in one way or an other is welcome to become a member. So far, most of the members - totalling 100 - hail from Sweden and from almost all parts of society; municipalities, universities, NGOs, regional boards, enterprises, associations and unions. Still the centre lacks youth organizations as well as local organizations interested in social issues. In particular members from the other countries round the Baltic Sea are welcomed.
