UBC has been accepted as a full member in the Senior Officials Group (SOG), which is formed to monitor, contribute to and steer the process of developing an Agenda 21 for the Baltic Sea Region. Mr Peter Gavelin from Sundsvall represents UBC in the meetings of the SOG.
In order to form a basis for UBC´s contribution to SOG´s work and creation of the Baltic 21 as well as to influence UBC Commission on Environment´s future activities we conducted a member city survey in December - January. The aim was to find out how much activites the member cities have in connection with Local Agenda 21.
Altogether we received 43 answers, which means that two thirds of our members responded. Thank you all for your time and cooperation! For more information, please see a summary of the results.
