Good environmental examples from companies in Kalmar
The municipality of Kalmar has - among other Agenda 21 activities - published a catalogue consisting of 29 examples of good environmental practice as applicable to private companies in the Kalmar region. The catalogue is intended to serve as a source of inspiration for companies, the municipality, other organizations and even private people who want to take a step in the right direction - towards sustainability.The catalogue´s examples are from companies that have wanted to publish their environmental activities. Therefore it is not a comprehensive list covering all environmentally conscious activities within the private sector, but it shows that environmental issues are increasingly important and have to be taken into account in the business sector as well.
The catalogue is being distributed to politicians, municipal and private companies as well as to libraries in the Kalmar region. It is also available on the Web, see Goda exempel från Kalmars arbete med AGENDA 21 .
ECO enterprises in the Kalmar region
This catalogue presents environmentally friendly companies operating in the Kalmar Region. It aims at establishing contacts between these and other companies in 1997. The catalogue presents over 50 companies which range from transportation and energy companies to banks and even a psychologist.The catalogue is available in English, Russian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian and Polish.
