Let´s make use of used goods!

UBC´s Second Hand Market

Does your city have equipment, machines, vehicles etc. which are otherwise usable but taken out of action? Or would your city need such used commodities? If the answer is yes - or if you would like to know more - have a look at the new UBC Second Hand Market. Let´s make use of used goods!

The Commission on Environment has occasionally met with the question of a need or surplus of used commodities in the cities. The problem is that the supply and demand of such material engage only randomly, with exception of well-functiong twin city relations.

This page is intended to be a bulletin board or market place enabling the cities to find out about each others needs and the surplus material available. The material can be anything from computer screens to heavy trucks. The pictures here are just examples of possible items.

Cities with equipment that has been taken out of service and is ready to be sold / donated to another city can announce it in the For Sale or For Free sections, and cities that need certain commodities are welcome to announce their requirements in the Wanted! -section. All of these advertisements are free of charge and may be posted, faxed or e-mailed to the Secretariat in Turku.
