Vydūnas‘ Mystery "Bells of the Sea"

Vydūnas – famous Lithuanian philosopher, writer, humanist, publicist and cultural worker. Vydūnas (real name - Vilhelmas Storostas)(1868–1953) - leading figure in the cultural life of Lithuanians of East Prussia (Lithuania Minor), born in Jonaičiai, county of Šilutė (then under German rule). Vydūnas ’ view of humankind in which all nations merge and rise together towards perfection and divinity is expressed in the mystery Jūros varpai (Bells of the Sea, 1920) which will be presented in Priekulė.

Eight Bath Day invites all to experience long-lasting Lithuanian bathing traditions. Festival promotes healthy lifestyle and old bathing traditions adapted to modern society. During this festival visitors will be able to experience these traditions first-hand as well as to try traditional health and beauty recipes.

The conference is a good opportunity for UBC cities to exchange experiences on receiving and integrating the refugees.
