On 16th November 2016 the informal Baltic Sea Group (iBSG) will host a seminar on the Baltic Sea Area and its role as a frontrunner in digitalization.

Taking care of tomorrow. The seminar will focus on involving young people in the discussion as well as politicians from local and regional level in the Baltic Sea Region (including representatives from Norway).

UBC Task Force’s report on Strategy implementation has come out

The key goal of the Kristiansand UBC Strategy for years 2009–2015 and its implementation was to ensure that UBC, as the leading city network in the Baltic Sea Region, meets the new requirements in the emerging cooperative structure of the Baltic Sea Region, with the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) emerging as the key framework for cooperation.

UBC wanted to ensure its relevance and operative capacity and continue to create added value for its member Cities.

The XIV UBC General Conference will be held in the beautiful city of Växjö, Sweden, on 24–27 October 2017. The theme of the general conference is "Leadership for the Future – Cities as Leaders for Glocal Sustainable Development".

The general conference hosts top-level speakers across the Baltic Sea Region as well as strong involvement of BSR youth representatives, among others. The plenary sessions during the conference will be streamed live and are afterwards also available as videos at
