In the excavations carried out over the years on the site of Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova museum, more than a tonne of animal bones have been discovered. The exhibition Bony Tales illustrates the interesting history of animals.

Robert Doisneau - My Paris

French master of black-and-white photography Robert Doisneau (1912–1994) was, along with Henri Cartier-Bresson, one of the great pioneers of photojournalism.

Doisneau is best known for his charming, playful and almost surreal photographs of everyday life. His most iconic pictures are from the early part of the 20th century, when he wandered around Paris with his Leica, capturing on film the wonders of the city and the life of its inhabitants.

Jacob Hashimoto: Gas Giants and Uncertain Atmospheres

The galleries of Wäinö Alltonen Museum of Art are filled with the works of American artist Jacob Hashimoto.

Hashimoto's art blurs the line between the works and the spaces that they occupy. This is the first time Hashimoto's art is extensively displayed in Finland. He is best known for working with light, kite-like elements, from which he contructs large-scale, minimalistic and colourful tapestries and installations.

Beyond 2020: Supporting Europe's Coastal Communities Conference

The Estonian Presidency of the European Union and the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission (DG MARE), are organising a stakeholder conference on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF), entitled "Beyond 2020: Supporting Europe's Coastal Communities." This event will take place in Tallinn, Estonia on 12-13 October 2017.
