Women's EHF EURO 2016

The Women's EURO Handball Championships 2016 takes place from 4 to 18 December 2016 in Sweden. The preliminary round is played in Stockholm, Kristianstad, Malmö and Helsingborg.

Group B with Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland will play in Kristianstad Arena.
4 december: Netherlands–Germany and France–Poland
6 december: Poland–Netherlands and Germany–France
8 december: Germany–Poland and Netherlands–France

Eurorando 2016

Europe’s biggest walking event, Eurorando, is held every five years and will be coming to Skåne on 10-17 September 2016. Around 5,000-7,000 ramblers from across Europe will be making their way here.Hiking is a hot travel trend right now. Skåne is proud to be hosting Eurorando, which goes to show just how varied the walking opportunities are here in southern Sweden, particularly with the Skåneleden Trail, which is more than 1,000 km long. Helsingborg will act as the hub for the event.

Åhus Beachhandballl festival

Åhus Beach handball Festival is Europes’s largest beach handball tournament. Over 1 000 teams play each year in the beautiful white sand of Åhus, surrounded by 60 000 cheering people.The Festival takes place in Åhus, a small summer city in the southern parts of Sweden. During the Festival all the Swedish top teams participate and also Danish teams and teams from the best handball league in the world, German Bundesliga.

Resort’s Feast “Palanga 2016”

The traditional event in Palanga that signifies the beginning of summer tourism season was firstly organized in 1972, when Palanga became the official summer capital. The three day celebration promises a lot of concerts and exhibitions as always and invites everyone to the traditional “Palangos Juzė“ (“Juze of Palanga”) fair with presentations of exhibitions, the celebration opening ceremony, concerts of Palanga art groups.

Folklore festival “St. George day”

The most beautiful time of the year in Palanga is spring when releases greenery. A folk music group creates an exceptional mood during the jolly celebration of nature waking up, loudly singing songs in all Lithuanian dialects. The spring songs, choir Lithuanian folk songs, music of horns, pipes, bagpipes and other folk instruments are adjusted for the landscape and are heard at the most beautiful corners of the park.
