Programme: Janulyte. "Here at the quiet limit" (2018, premiere) Vasks. "Musica Appassionata" Tüür. „Questions...“ The Baltic countries will join forces for a historical celebration. The programme is a musical gift to celebrate the 100th birthday of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. New pieces by Latvian and Lithuanian composers, created specifically for this event, will be played along with a piece by Erkki-Sven Tüür. The concerts will take place in all three countries; the Riga Sinfonietta will perform in Latvia. The concert is dedicated to the centenary of the Republic of Estonia
The aim of the festival is development of Estonian balletic education through the promotion the world-class ballet dancing art in Ida-Viru county. The festival also represents the Estonian ballet dancers, who have already achieved the fame on various European stages. Festival expected and inseparable part is the ballet children's gala, where more that 100 ballet school students take part.
