UBC events at the EUSBSR Annual Forum on 4–5 June 2018
The 9th Annual Forum of the EUSBSR will be held in Tallinn on 4–5 June 2018. About 700 participants from governments, international organisations, NGOs, universities, local and regional administrations and businesses will come together to discuss developments and challenges in the Baltic Sea Region.
The Forum will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia together with the Baltic Development Forum in close cooperation with the European Commission and other partners.
The main theme of the 9th Annual Forum is the Baltic Sea Region After 2020. The Forum will focus on how to improve the implementation of the EUSBSR in the framework of the future EU Cohesion Policy. It will also discuss the current state of the ecosystem in the Baltic Sea as well as how to advance the Region as a global digital hub.
UBC co-hosts a seminar, the Youth Conference 2018 and the second EUSBSR Participation Day
UBC co-organises altogether three seminars and back-to-back meetings before and during the Forum:
- Youth Conference 2018 prior to the Annual Forum on 3 June, organized together with Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC), EuroRegion Baltic (ERB) and Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS). See attachment for more details.
- Second Participation Day of the EUSBSR, organized by the Horizontal Action Capacity and its coordinators Baltic Sea NGO Network, Union of the Baltic Cities and the Swedish Institute. See attachments for more details.
- Seminar “Nothing about us without us – digital tools for better youth involvement and dialog” on 4 June, organized together with Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC), EuroRegion Baltic (ERB) and Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS). See attachment for more details.
